SMS Opt-In Consent Process

Bradley Ward Software Development

Purpose: This page describes how recipients consent to receive SMS messages from the small, personal messaging program operated by Bradley Ward Software Development. This is a low-volume, transactional program — two-factor authentication (2FA) codes and home-automation alerts only. We never send marketing or promotional messages.

Who receives messages

Recipients are family members and personal acquaintances who have a prior relationship with us. There is no public sign-up. We give each person our program number and opt-in keyword directly, in person or by a personal message.

How you opt in

Opt-in is by mobile keyword, initiated by the recipient from their own phone:

  1. We give you the program number, +1 (678) 831‑6656, and the opt-in keyword JOIN.
  2. You text JOIN to that number from the mobile phone you want enrolled.
  3. The system immediately replies with a confirmation:
Ward Family: You are now subscribed to receive your 2FA login codes and home-automation alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to unsubscribe.

We keep a record of each person’s consent, and we never message anyone who has not personally texted JOIN. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase.

Message Types

Enrolled recipients receive only these two transactional message types:

1. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Your verification code is 123456. This code expires in 10 minutes. Do not share this code with anyone.

2. Home-automation alerts

Alert: Garage door has been open for 30 minutes.
Alert: Water-leak sensor triggered in the basement.
